Pope Outlines Holy See's
Diplomatic Priorities

On Monday, January 8, Pope Francis received in the Vatican all of the Ambassadors accredited to the Holy See and gave his annual address in which he outlined various priorities of the Holy See for the upcoming year. He focused in a particular way on the lessons to be learned from the centenary of the end of World War I and on the enduring importance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on its 70th anniversary. He synthesized much of the “what” and the “why” of the work that the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See advocates before the international community at the United Nations.

His remarks can be found here.
